Infiltration

This procedure consists of injecting a contrast medium in a given joint, which permits the introduction of cortisone to relieve the patient.

Preparation

Stop taking blood thinners medication (anticoagulant such as Coumadin), anti-inflammatory drugs and aspirin 48 hours before the examination. The person must be accompanied as a local anesthesia will take place.
